Show Report Swede cultural spirit

Stockholm has seen the opening of two new museums this Summer. Artipelag opened in June, a new

international venue combining art exhibits, inspiring cultural activities, architecture, music, Swedish design and dining. It’s located at Hålludden on Värmdö Island, about 12 miles east of Stockholm. Set amongst the pine trees it has a view over Baggen’s Bay and visitors can enjoy walking trails through woods and meadows. The new Historical Museum of

Spirits also opened in May, on Djurgården in Stockholm. "Sweden: Spirits of a Nation” is Spritmuseum’s permanent exhibition, on the bittersweet relationship between Swedes and alcohol. It’s a walk through the seasons using sceneries and senses, partaking in pain and pleasure, enjoyment and hangovers. Another exhibition is the Absolut Art Collection, featuring works by artists like Andy Warhol and Damien Hirst. www.visitstockholm.com
