services to Belfast City after an 11-year gap and following the acquisition of bmi by International Airlines Group (IAG) as well as launching new services to Bologna and Tripoli. Willie Walsh, International Airlines Group’s CEO said: “I am delighted to see the British Airways colours back in Belfast. I publicly committed to serving Belfast if we acquired additional runway slots at Heathrow and the acquisition of bmi has given us the perfect opportunity to make that happen.” British Airways will increase frequency from the current six to seven flights daily when it introduces its winter schedule on October 28. From London City, the airline is extending its Palma and Ibiza flights to a year-round service with weekly
