NEW! Youth Futsal League
Futsal is fast-paced, high-energy indoor soccer with South American roots. It is a 5v5 style game played on a basketball court with a smaller ball. In Futsal, each player has more involvement in the game. This allows for more focus on technique and developing confidence in ball control, passing, quick decision-making and creativity. Futsal has become the standard for indoor play worldwide due to its development and success of enhancing the skills of all soccer players. The league guarantees a ten game regular season plus a single elimination post-season tournament. The first week will serve as practice. All games are governed by the United States Futsal Federation rules and regulations with local exceptions adopted.
Players must register by team. Volunteer coaches are needed; please contact the Recreation Center at 630.960.7250 if you are interested in coaching. Registration will begin Tuesday, September 4. Registration deadline is November 2. A coaches meeting will be held on November 12 at 6:30 pm at the Recreation Center. No games November 22 and December 9.
