Museum Cemetery Tours are back! Cemetery Walk for Kids


Explore Historic Main Street Cemetery and enjoy a hands-on activity for kids. Tour the graveyard and learn the importance of tombstones and the information they provide. Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. This program may fulfill some scout badge requirements.

Downers Grove’s Historic Cemetery Tour


Explore all of Downers Grove’s cemeteries...the Downer Family Burial Place, Oak Hill, Oak Crest and Main Street Cemeteries. Learn their unique history and about the people buried there. Meet at the Museum to disembark and receive information. Carpooling options available. Dress for the weather and comfortable footwear required. Washroom facilities may be unavailable for extended periods of time.
