Parent/Child Programs Timber Tykes
Introduce your tyke to the great outdoors! Each week of this four-week class will introduce a new nature theme through stories, songs, crafts and walks through the woods. Each session will feature new nature themes, so sign-up for both! Please dress appropriately for the weather, but in case of inclement weather, the program will be held indoors.

Sibling Class!
Hey Big Bugs! Bring your favorite Little Bugs out to Lyman Woods for a nature adventure to learn about the animals and plants in the forest. An adult and two siblings will enjoy a story, craft and hike together. Each session is a different topic so sign up for all four! Dress to be outdoors, but in case of inclement weather, the program may be held indoors.

Have a crafty tot? Bring them to our new nature workshop! Each month we’ll make a new project to take home that will encourage kids to interact with nature. After we finish our projects, we’ll head outdoors for some nature discovery time! Feel free to bring a snack to enjoy during our water break.

Drop-in for this free monthly storytime on Thursdays at Lyman Woods! Each month, we’ll read a new nature story and learn a little about the plants and animals featured in the book. Hang around after the story to make a nature craft or hit the trails on your own to explore the woods. No registration required.

Hit the trails at Lyman Woods to explore autumn’s amazing colorful show on a guided hike led by a naturalist. Learn why leaves change color and fall off the trees, and look for busy birds, squirrels, and chipmunks preparing for the winter ahead.
