Winter/Spring 2013 Indoor Adult Volleyball Leagues
More than 800 men and women of different skill levels play in the Downers Grove Park District’s leagues for Men’s, Women’s Competitive, Women’s Recreational and Co-Ed teams. Approximately 10 weeks of play are scheduled for each team. All games are officiated with USVBA rules. Men’s, Women’s and Co-Ed games are held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings, respectively. League play is tentatively scheduled to begin the week of January 7, 2013.
Registration is taken on a first-come, first-served basis until all slots are filled. A $100 deposit and a preliminary roster (including all team members’ names and addresses) are due at the time of registration. A copy of each players driver’s license is required if they are claiming residency status.
Returning resident teams (teams with 51% of players returning from the autumn 2012 season and 60% of team members residing or employed in Downers Grove) may register beginning Saturday, October 13 at 9:00 am.
New resident teams (60% of team members must pay taxes to the Park District or be employed in Downers Grove) may register beginning Saturday, October 20 at 9:00 am.
Returning nonresident teams (teams with 51% of players returning from the autumn 2012 season) may register beginning Saturday, October 27 at 9:00 am.
New nonresident teams may register beginning Saturday, November 3 at 9:00 am.
The deadline to register is Monday, November 26 at 9:00 am.
Roster forms are available at the Recreation Center, Lincoln Center or online at
www.dgparks.org.
Individuals wishing to be placed on a team may call the Park District at 630.960.7250 before December 7 and leave their name and phone number to be given to any captain requesting additional players.
Mandatory Captain’s Meeting: Monday, December 10 at 7:00 pm at the Recreation Center, 4500 Belmont Road, Downers Grove, IL 60515.

Softball Leagues There’s still time to get your team registered for the Fall Adult Softball Leagues! League play is scheduled to begin play on August 27.
Mandatory Captain’s Meeting: Tuesday, August 21 at 6:30 pm at the Recreation Center, 4500 Belmont Road, Downers Grove, IL 60515.

Downers Grove Adult Softball
Fall City Championship The season is not over yet. End the year with this weekend double eliminations tournament. Game will start at 11:00 am on October 27 and end on October 28. There are five divisions to include Men’s Rec, Men’s Competitive, Women’s 11-inch, 40+ Men’s and Co-Rec. All games will be played at McCollum Park Ball Field 3 and 4 and game balls will be provided. Team rosters are due on Friday, October 26. Cash prize for the winners of each division.
