CITRA is a peer leadership group within the Downers Grove Park District. The group is open to any high school student who is looking to strengthen leadership and communication skills by planning trips, concerts, service projects and events for other high school students. Teen Travelers ACT Practice Test
A practice test is crucial to ward off those test day jitters and predict how you may score on the real thing. Experience first-hand what test day is like. A representative from Kaplan will provide a proctored ACT practice test and scores will be returned to each student with analyzed results. Please bring a healthy snack and a drink, #2 sharpened pencils and a calculator. Wear comfortable clothing. Cell phones will not be allowed.

Dream Reapers Haunted House
Think you can handle 14,000 sq. feet of sheer terror? With over twenty-two rooms, Dream Reapers has been rated the #1 haunted house in Illinois for three years in a row. You won’t want to miss this trip with your friends. Trip includes transportation and admission. Concessions are available for purchase. Register by October 13.

Support your local musicians as local teen bands rock the Lincoln Center Auditorium. All bands performing receive a cut of the admission fee. Doors open at 7:00 pm. The concert is supervised by park district staff. Bands interested in performing should call 630.963.1300 or email Michelle at

Paintball Trip
Chicagoland Paintball is the premier facility for Paintball in the Chicago area. With a facility designed for every caliber of player, you and your friends are guaranteed a great time! Fee includes transportation, admission, rental equipment and paintballs. Remember to wear pants and long sleeves. A signed waiver must be completed and turned in the day of the trip. Waivers are available on the Teen page of
www.dgparks.org. Concessions are available for purchase. Register by October 26.

Join us for a guide tour with Northwest Passage. Experienced kayak instructors will provide the safety equipment, teach paddling and guide on the water for two hours. No experience required. Please bring water bottles, sunscreen, sack lunch and a snack. Register by September 5.

Attention filmmakers, directors, and actors. This is your chance to get your film viewed by an audience! Our Screening Team will view films to determine which category the film will be entered. Judging will take place at the conclusion of the Frozen Film Festival on February 22 - 24. Films created after the year 2000 will be judged in two categories: Comedy and Drama. For rules and regulations, please contact the Westmont Community Center at 630.963.5252. Registration deadline for Film Submission is 4:30 pm on February 1, 2013.
