AT&T to build Nutreco a global network to improve efficiencies and productivity

AT&T is developing a global wide area network for Nutreco in a three year agreement. The contract will enable Nutreco, a global leader in animal nutrition and fish feed, to improve efficiencies and productivity across its worldwide locations spanning 30 countries.

The centralized, global IP-based virtual private network will connect Nutreco’s 10,000 employees around the world and enable them to streamline crucial business services, allowing them to focus on their core business.

Nutreco is a €5 billion company headquartered in The Netherlands with 10,000 employees worldwide in 30 countries and sales in 80 countries. Nutreco aims to contribute to meeting the rising food needs of a growing world population in a sustainable manner by applying its knowledge of feed ingredients and the nutrition of animals and fish to gain optimum value from limited natural resources.

“It is the crucial global reach and scale of the AT&T network and services that is enabling us to focus on our mission of providing innovative and sustainable animal nutrition to the worldwide agriculture and aquaculture markets.”

Henry van de Ven, Chief Information Officer, Nutreco.

Prince’s Trust donation

AT&T support of the Enterprise Programme over the past seven years has enabled The Prince’s Trust to provide vital funding and guidance to unemployed young people to help them take control of their future and create their own employment. Together, we are inspiring young lives.

With over 1 million 16-24 year olds now unemployed in the UK, young people have felt the effects of the economic downturn acutely and the Prince’s trust work has never been more important.

AT&T supports the Enterprise Programme, which supports disadvantaged young people aged 18-30 years to explore and test their business ideas, write business plans and start their own businesses or achieve alternative goals in education, training, employment or volunteering.

The recent donation of $50,000 from AT&T will support 16 young people through the Enterprise Programme and enable The Prince’s Trust to give them vital ongoing support for three years.
