q-linea
Common platform for nucleic acid and protein analysis Using unique molecular pr ocedures, padlock probes and proximity ligation, Q-linea’s Amplifi ed Single Molecule Detection (ASMD) platform can be used for both genetic and immunological identifi cation. This allows the full spectrum of biological threats, including bacteria, spores, viruses and toxins, to be analyzed using a single instrument.
The Amplifi ed Single Molecule Detection platform features high specifi city, a limit of detection of only hundreds or less of bacterial genomes or spores per sample, and the capability of detecting multiple agents in a single analysis.
Aquila – the modular and fl exible analysis platform The amplifi ed single molecule detection technology is implemented in the Aquila instrument platform. The platform is modular, off ering the fl exibility to tailor the system to specifi c customer needs – either connected to an air sampler for continuous and autonomous monitoring of airborne biowarfare agents or in a laboratory setup for environmental or patient sample screening.
The Aquila system accepts incoming samples at regular or irregular intervals, without the need to stack up samples on hold and run them in batch as would be the case for a micro titer plate-based instrument, as is commonly used in e.g. quantitative PCR or ELISA assays. It also off ers a small footprint given the high sample throughput.
