Spot the bear to an authentic Canadian experience

Winter Signature Experience trip for two, flying to Toronto and including time at the Ice Wine Festival in Niagara! You'll fly with Air Canada, which offers

more daily flights from the UK to Canada than any other airline, with up to 84 non-stop flights per week to eight major Canadian cities scheduled this summer. The airline operates up to five flights per day to Toronto and daily services to Vancouver, Halifax, Montréal, Calgary, Ottawa, Edmonton and St John’s. Ernst Flach, Executive Director for Global Marketing at the CTC said: “Canada is invariably mentioned as the number one destination people want to experience but this interest does not

always translate into actual visits. By providing a unique focus, the SEC encourages visitors to take in Canada in more experiential ways. For agents it can be the hook to make their clients’ travel to Canada more immediate and urgent. “Aside from icons like Niagara Falls,

The Rockies and polar bears, the SEC is also about local people, regional food, cultural activities, music and the arts. “For example, on the Plains of Six Glaciers horse-riding trail in Lake Louise, Alberta, riders pass a glacier, forests and avalanche paths. It's a breathtaking ride and totally unique to Canada – and should be sold as something special!" http://canada.travel/sec

WELCOME Bienvenue!

Celebrate with Canada!

2012 is a year of celebrations for the Canadian Tourism Commission as we mark 50 years of doing

business in the UK and commemorate the 21st year of our agents training. Our Canada Specialist Programme has

evolved significantly. It began as a training manual, then went online before becoming a global platform at www. canadaspecialist.co.uk. Its success reflects many hours of work, all designed to bring Canada to you. We’re going to celebrate with a series

of agent roadshows (see right) and hope to see many of you there. You don’t have to be an existing CSP member to attend and they're free. We may not be giving away the traditional keys to the door but we will be giving you the key to Canada and selling more! And we'll be acknowledging those

agents who have been working with us since the programme began. Their loyalty to the destination will be recognised with a few special surprises later in the year as a 'thank you'. Read on for Canada's latest news and

your chance to win a fabulous Signature Experience (see left). Remember, you can follow us on Facebook too!
