YOURTHINGS HIS THINGS KIDSTHINGS HOMETHINGS AFFORDABLETHINGS

Exciting times! Dorothy Whitehill – Editor T

here’s a real ‘British’ buzz in the Littlewoods offices at the moment, with the start of what’s promising to be a fab summer of celebration all round. I say all round because there’s

obviously the major events – the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, then the Olympics, (can’t wait!), loads of other major sporting events in between - and if you didn’t know it’s our 80th birthday too! So in this issue we want to mark the start of the

summer celebrations with lots of lovely new things. Things for you, things for the kids, things for him and lots of amazing new things for home, particularly your garden - paddling pools, garden furniture, even tools – everything you need to make the most of the sunshine (please, please, please Mr. Weatherman!). That’s as well as a whole section on all things

sports, whether you’re doing it, watching it, or supporting it. And of course holidays are on the horizon. Yippee! So as you’ll see you won’t have to travel too far for everything and anything to do with sun seeking. And to mark our 80th, we’ve put together more

must enter competitions, with a collection of fantastic prizes to win, including a Masterchef Barbecue, a trip to Blue Planet with an overnight stay and loads, loads more - details over the page (don’t miss the ‘Parfey Party’, all about our Haven Holiday winner page 114) All of these things plus a hot line up of brand

new fashion finds, I think makes this issue of new things my favourite to date. I hope, along with our always low weekly prices, it gets your summer season of celebration off on a high.
