This is but one incident. Now start adding up all of the sports and repetitive motion injuries you’ve incurred; the car, ski and bicycle accidents; the slips, sprains, falls, bad habits, repetitive motion patterns, misuse, emotional trauma and other factors that have been impacting your body since you were a toddler (or before) and you begin to see why so many people have trouble functioning. What’s worse is that after a while these imbalances start to feel “normal” to us. Thus, we lose not only the ability to function, but the memory of that ability as well—we’ve forgotten what a healthy body feels like.
