Course Overview
GMIT offers a range of accounting programmes from technician level through to postgraduate level, and now offers you the chance to complete the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) finals here in GMIT. ACCA is recognised as the largest and fastest-growing global professional accountancy body with 571,000 students and members in 170 countries. ACCA Ireland has over 20,000 students and members.
At GMIT you can complete your final ACCA examinations on a full-time basis prior to commencing your practical experience. Modules are also available on an individual basis.
Students must register independently for examinations and exemptions with ACCA. Details are available at

What Will I Study?
Students on this programme can take the following modules: • P1: Governance, Risk and Ethics • P2: Corporate Reporting • P3: Business Analysis • P6: Advanced Taxation • P7: Advanced Audit and Assurance
P1 and P2 are normally offered in semester 1 (September to December) and the remaining modules are normally offered in semester 2 (January to May).
