• Part 2 will be delivered over two semesters:


– Semester 1 - Strategic Management 1, Entrepreneurship, People Management, Marketing and Financial Management plus one elective from Organisation Theory and Employment Law in Practice.


– Semester 2 - Strategic Management 2, Irish Economy, Marketing Practice, Business Communications and Negotiations, and Financial Management plus one elective from Supply Chain Management and Workplace Issues: HR/IR in Context.


Learning Experience


Places on the programme are restricted to 40 students. This programme will encourage and facilitate the learner to construct knowledge through reflection, experience and interaction. The teaching and learning strategy aims to achieve a learning environment and an experience that encourages and facilitates students in discovering and constructing knowledge themselves. All modules will be assessed by, inter alia, written tests, assignments, practical exercises and tests, projects and presentations.


Career Prospects


Graduates are eligible to apply for a range of business related jobs, particularly those that integrate their primary degree with the skills and knowledge they gain in the Postgraduate Diploma in Business. Graduates will qualify to apply for the Masters in Business in Strategy and Innovation Management (Level 9) in GMIT and other business related level 9 programmes.
