CHESTER SUPPLIESMACHINES FORWORKSHOP FORNEW £36mCOLLEGE CAMPUS
CHESTERMachineTools recently installed its equipment in a new workshop forTresham College at the £36million Corby campus. Chesterwon a tender after a
visit by a Treshamteamto its Midland showroomat Cannock. Anthony Edwards of Chester
told Technology in Education: “We supplied three large vertical turretmills, six large gap-bed lathes, a couple of pillar drills and a full range of professional toolbox sets alongwith other consumable items. “We carried out a full
installation that included delivery, levelling andwiring by the professional contractor we employed to carry out
these projects for us. “After the installationwas
completed,we sent one of our engineers to the site to carry out a familiarisation and training day on the machines for the tutors.” The Corby campus has a number of specialist
engineering and construction workshops providing realistic working conditionswith the most up-to-date equipment available. Theworkshops include a dedicated suite for AutoCad training.
