Welcome to International Confex 2012

This is my fi rst International Confex and I’m extremely excited to be meeting and welcoming you to the show. We have an abundance of innovative, informative and inspirational activities taking place this year, not forgetting the most extensive educational offering International Confex has seen to date.

2012 brings you a new look and feel International Confex, counting the introduction of our new Loyalty Programme, the incorporation of the London event show RSVP, and the launch of our sister show, International Outdoor Event Expo (IOEX), as just a few of the developments.

International Confex 2012 is just that – international – with the best UK and international venues, hotels, products and services represented across the show fl oor. With a vast amount of high-level, UK outbound meeting and event planners in attendance, not to mention buyers from around the world, it goes with out saying that International Confex has a huge amount to offer.

On behalf of the International Confex team, I hope you enjoy the show.

I’d like to start off by welcoming you to the 29th International Confex - and my second - how time has fl own! I’m thrilled that International Confex is playing its part in such an important year for the UK events industry, especially with the annual Britain for Events campaign culminating at the show.

The team has taken great strides over the past year to ensure that we deliver on the industry-leading vision we proposed, and I am delighted by the quality of the exhibitor line up, the education and the networking events that we have created this year. International Confex is packed with an abundance of business opportunities ensuring you can achieve the maximum return on investment for your time and attendance.

As such, I’d like to encourage you to make the most out of your time at the show. Speak to as many exhibitors as possible as they represent the venues, suppliers or contractors that can give your event the edge. They may add the wow factor to your event or simply offer a more cost-effective service than your current supplier that helps you hit your budget. Remember, all our exhibitors have invested their budgets to meet buyers like you so don’t be afraid to go and ask them how they can help you.

On that note, I will see you on the show fl oor, enjoy! Jonny Sullens
