Light
LET THE SUNSHINE IN: This spring, the Long Beach Convention &
Entertainment Center planted a unique
and beautiful lighted “tree” — Solarflora, a solar-panel sculpture of sorts created by local firm Nectar
Design. This “power plant” can produce
1.2 kilowatt hours of energy daily, while
providing gentle night- time illumination.
