TAH RECENTLY WAS NAMED BY Forbes as the No. 1 U.S. state for business and growth; it is also a prime meetings destination. The state offers an extensive variety of group venues, in addition to cultural arts, excellent dining and nightlife, and a rich history — pretty much every ingredient of productive, memorable meetings. The “Meet in Utah” statewide coop-
erative program makes it easy to select the right venue and other program com- ponents. “Meet in Utah” is a partnership of eight CVBs that represent Utah’s premier meeting destinations: Ogden, Davis County, Salt Lake, Park City, Heber Valley/Wasatch County, Utah Valley, Cedar City–Brian Head, and St. George. No matter the destination, planners will be bowled over by the proximity of Utah’s many diverse recreational venues to its meeting facilities. Within a short drive of the state’s meeting venues, attendees can go skiing or snowboarding at one of Utah’s 14 world- class resorts, explore 21 national and state parks, river- run the waters of the Green or Colorado rivers, hike or mountain-bike famous trails, or fish in limitless lakes and streams.
Northern Utah caters to culture-lovers with theater,
concerts, hundreds of art galleries, and some of the West’s finest museums. Southern Utah and its re- nowned national parks (Arches, Bryce, and Zion) have indoor and outdoor theaters for live performances. Additionally, in Utah, group size doesn’t matter.
From a convention center that can handle 20,000-plus attendees to a 50-guest mountain retreat, the state can accommodate a multitude of requirements. Utah truly offers everything planners, their clients, and their attendees need to hold a productive and memorable meeting. ■
