STAGE 2


Get out windsurfing – learn the basics of getting on the water and enjoying the sport. Try our new ‘Take a Challenge’ with fun to be had by all


Improve your general sailing on different points of sail, look at stance and start to speed up your turns


RACING


Our Racing Scheme is available to youths and adults, with three levels – Start, Intermediate and Advanced. You can join the Start Racing course once you have completed your Stage 1 or Level 1 courses. As you improve you can progress through the scheme to Advanced level, by which time you might be giving the Olympic team a run for their money!

STAGE 3


Sail in stronger winds and enhance your stance with basic harness use, making windsurfing even more exciting


STAGE 4


Start blasting around in the footstraps. After the course you should be able to tack, gybe and sail in your harness confidently, and be ready for the advanced courses in the National Windsurfing Scheme

The National Windsurfing Scheme START WINDSURFING


An introduction to the sport. Teaches you the basics so you are up and sailing around, making progress towards and away from the wind, tacking and gybing in no time


INTERMEDIATE


Your first taste of the Fastfwd coaching system. Get to grips with the harness and footstraps, and be introduced to more dynamic transitions. The course is split into two competencies – planing and non-planing


ADVANCED


Carve gybes, waterstarts and advanced planing techniques broken down and simplified by the Fastfwd system, taught in a range of courses and specialist clinics
