IN FOCUS CHANNEL ISLANDS
Jason Moriarty, Director of Marketing and Tourism, VisitGuernsey “Guernsey is ideal in
these uncertain times, when travellers may not want to commit to a long-haul holiday. We offer relaxation, beautiful scenery, and accommodation and activities to suit all tastes. From my perspective the past year has
underlined the value of the relationships built up over many years with our tour operators, agents and the on-island industry. The UK trade is still responsible for 40% of our visitors.”

My Channel Islands... by Jason Moriarty
“We started the day with a cliff walk taking in the southern peninsula of Guernsey. The scenery is stunning and walking away from St Peter Port town the view is towards the islands of Herm, Sark and Alderney as the sun rises overhead. There are kiosks dotted all around the coast and we stopped for coffee and cake at Fermain Bay.
Later on, we went to the sheltered beach on the other side of the island at Vazon Bay. It was still warm in the late afternoon and we lost track of time. We left it too late to get back to St Peter Port for dinner in our favourite restaurant, but found a great fish and chip shop and had supper on the beach, sharing a bottle of wine!”
