Kick Off at Soccer Sisters Easter Camps
The FAI and Fingal County Council are delighted to announce the Aviva Soccer Sisters Easter camps in Balbriggan, Diswellstown, Donabate, Malahide, Skerries and Swords from Monday 2nd April to Thursday 5th April with Mountview on from Tuesday 10th April – Friday 13th April.
Brand New All-Weather Pitch for Hartstown
Hartstown Park all weather pitch will be officially opened on 27th March next. The new pitch is a much needed facility for the community and will be welcomed by all local sports clubs and schools. More than 60 teams from Huntstown FC, Naomh Peregrines GAA, Whitestown Utd FC, Pinebrook Celtic and FC Lokomotiv already play matches in Hartstown Park and the Council is delighted to make this new facility available to them and others.
Jointly funded by Fingal County Council, the National Lottery and the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport the new state of the art pitch includes 3 seven a side pitches in third generation construction using rubber infill particles in synthetic carpet and surrounded by fencing, perimeter path and lighting.

The aim of the nationwide girls-only programme is to improve skills in a structured way in a safe coaching environment and for girls who want to keep playing to make contact with their local soccer club through the Fingal County Council/FAI development officers.

The camps run from 10am – 1pm each day, cost ¤40 and are open to girls aged 7-11 with the aim of increasing the number of girls playing soccer.
Future Olympians of Fingal
Fingal County Council’s Sports Office will run a series of events in 2012 to identify future Irish Olympians.
Working with partner sports organisations the FAI, Leinster Cricket, Tennis Ireland, Leinster Rugby and Athletics Ireland, each sporting organisation will promote their sport in knockout style tournaments to encourage children from 3rd to 6th class to get involved in sport in the months leading up to the 2012 Olympic Games in London. The Future Olympians of Fingal Finals Day will be held in Sportslink Santry on
Wednesday, June 6th. This is an opportunity to encourage children to get involved in sport as well as creating an interest in the Olympics.
