Eight Fingal craft-workers are taking part in an export trade mission to New Jersey in April, thanks to an initiative from the Fingal County Enterprise Board. Flying under the “Fingal’s Finest” banner, the local craftspeople and designers aim to create new export sales opportunities and new jobs in Fingal.


Hundreds of buyers from across the USA and Canada will visit The Ireland Show, one of the biggest “Irish” trade shows in the U.S. which takes place in Secaucus New Jersey from 21st to 24th April. The eight Fingal Craftspeople taking part this year are Greg Whelan, Irish Linen House (Castleknock), Philip Gaffney, O’Gowna Studio (Naul), Liam Caulfied, Caulfield Glass (Swords), Michael Fahy, Privatmark (Baldoyle), Maura O’Rouke, O’Rourke Art and Design (Oldtown), Sinead Cooke, Jewellery Designer (Lusk), Killian O’Driscoll, Heraldic Gifts (Sutton) and Teresa Gaffney, Exclusively Irish (Naul).


Vintage Treasures and Gourmet Treats Pop-up in Swords


Dublin born fashion designer Sorcha Gillett brings her range of French vintage clothing and accessories to Swords this month as Dandelion Daydreamer Vintage becomes the first business to open under Fingal County Councils pop-up shop scheme.


Opening at No.2 The Plaza Arcade, Swords, for the entire month of March, opening hours are Tues-Fri 10-6, Sat 10-6.30 and Sun 12-5. Dandelion Daydreamer will be followed in April by Qualitaly.ie, an authentic Italian food and products shop and in May by Camilleon Kids, Children’s vintage boutique, selling


hand crafted and renovated furniture, jewellery, decorations, accessories and toys. Check out our first 3 tenants on:

East Fingal Free Transport to Health Appointments for Over 65’s


Vantastic in association with Fingal County Council and the Fingal Senior Citizens’ Forum are offering a FREE Door-to-Door Transport Service for health appointments to those over 65 who live in Fingal, east of the M1. This pilot scheme runs for 12 months from 6th February. Places are limited so call Vantastic on freephone 1800 242703 to confirm if you can take part.
