Abellio names Greater Anglia managers n


The new Greater Anglia management team has been announced by Abellio. The team is: n Ruud Haket – managing director;


n Andrew Goodrum – customer services director;


n Adam Golton – finance director;


n Thijs Jan Noomen – projects director;


n John Ratcliffe – engineering director;


n Nanouke van ’t Riet – operations director;


n Andrew Camp – commercial director;


n Simone Bailey – asset management director; and


n Dave Welham, interim HR director.


Haket, 47, said: ‘We are all committed to delivering the proposals made within the bid and listening to the requirements of our customers, stakeholders and employees, many of whom I have met during recent roadshows across the region.’


Keith Greenfield joins Heathrow Express


Haket became bid director at


Abellio in 2009 following his tenure as engineering director from the start of the Northern Rail franchise in 2004. His rail career started within


NedTrain, the maintenance arm of Netherlands Railways (NS), in 1996. Andrew Chivers, managing director of the former National Express East Anglia franchise, has remained with National Express.


Heathrow Express has appointed Keith Greenfield as its new managing director. He was previously airline business development director for BAA, Heathrow Express’s owner, following a nine-year stint as head of Orange UK’s Wholesale Business division. He says: ‘I have always admired


the attention to detail, customer care, service and reliability that I have experienced at Heathrow Express as a customer.’ Outgoing MD Richard Robinson


has joined the consultancy Aecom as managing director of its transportation business in Europe.

Stagecoach names new management teams


Senior management teams at transport group Stagecoach have been confirmed, following new South West Trains’ (SWT) managing director Tim Shoveller taking up his post, and David Horne taking over as managing director of East Midlands Trains (EMT).


SWT’s new operations director


will be Mark Steward, 49, formerly safety and operations director for EMT. With 28 years’ railway experience he replaces Ian Johnston, while Kelly Barlow, 34, moves from the Stagecoach business development team to become SWT HR director, replacing Andrew Welsby, who is leaving the rail industry. Steward and Barlow join SWT directors Christian Roth (engineering), Andy West (finance), Jake Kelly (customer services) and Brian Cook (safety and environment).

Meanwhile. Tim Gledhill, 45, has been promoted from financial controller to finance director at EMT, replacing Richard Bodicoat, now part of the Stagecoach business development team. Clare McCartney, 31, has been


promoted to HR director, replacing Margaret Kay who takes over as MD at Stagecoach Supertram. Tim Sayer continues as engineering director, and a customer service director is yet to be appointed David Horne said that he

appointed Angela Birchall as support services manager, based at its Laurencekirk headquarters. Trisha Pirie, Journeycall

Peter Garnett receives a cake from C2C MD Julian Drury


Peter Garnett, a member of staff for C2C at Benfleet station, is retiring after 50 years of working in the rail industry. He joined the railway at the beginning of February 1962 as a junior porter or ‘box boy’ at Southend Central station. He progressed to working as a ticket collector and train guard, before moving to a customer services role at Benfleet station.
