A new cleaning device called ProfilGate decontaminates both fork lift truck tyres and the soles of footwear, making it suitable for deployment in an environment where cleanliness and high levels of hygiene are essential.

example, fork lift and warehouse trucks can slip and become uncontrollable. To avoid this situation, ProfilGate has been developed and is available in the UK from Unisan. ProfilGate is a completely mechanical system of roll- on and roll-off plates, between which a grate with brushes is positioned. As the lift truck drives over ProfilGate, the brushes automatically clean the wheels, rollers or footwear. The tray under the brushes traps the dirt, greatly reducing the amount of contaminants and abrasive grit over the work floor. In wet weather, ProfilGate also has a drying effect. Vehicles and people pass this device without any loss of time. Up to 90% of the transported dirt will be removed. There is also a wet version available which sanitises wheels and footwear, making it suitable for bacteria reduction in the food industry.
