GNB moves premises
GNB Industrial Power (UK) Ltd, a subsidiary of Exide Technologies, is to move to new premises in Horwich, Bolton. GNB says the move puts it in a strong position to provide its customers with "a total power solution". The new facility will be shared with Exide’s transportation business, while still remaining two separate subsidiaries of Exide Technologies. The existing Trafford Park facility will handle both divisions’ logistics as well as battery assembly for GNB.
“GNB Industrial Power has had the capability of providing power for all applications for some time - not only motive power but also standby power and renewable energy
director of GNB Industrial Power. “This move to more modern premises will help us continue this development of new and innovative products. There will be no change to our customers' day-to-day contacts during or after the relocation, and we have organised the move meticulously to ensure that there will be no disruption, with customers continuing to receive the same high level of service they are used to,” concluded Nigel.

As a manufacturer of electric- operated pedestrian tugs, Derbyshire- based MasterMover Ltd is a leader in providing solutions for moving wheeled loads from 50kg up to 100,000kg. Established in 1995, the company has provided handling solutions to some of the biggest brand names in industry. The business offers a range of 27 machine models that are designed to safely and efficiently transport wheeled loads. “In 2007, as a British manufacturer whose sales were primarily from the UK market, we decided to focus on cultivating our export sales, whilst ensuring that the UK still remained our platform and guide for everything else we do as a business,” says Andy Owen, managing director of MasterMover. In 2007, export sales were less than 5% of MasterMover’s annual sales
turnover. Now this figure is more than 30% and growing year-on-year. In 2009 and 2010, UK sales remained steady, but the focus on export growth has definitely paid dividends for the company. In 2011, despite ongoing difficult global economic conditions, MasterMover still managed to increase annual turnover by 12%.
