management of cardiac disease, RAK Centre for Interventional Cardiology and Surgery, is focusing on proper diagnostics, going beyond mere ECG and treadmill tests. Advanced Echocardiography and 24-hour Holter ECG are both part of the diagnostic programme. Angiographies are routinely performed
in its cardiac catheter laboratory and it specializes in cardiac angioplasty (ballooning) as well as stenting of narrowed or blocked coronary ar teries. In addition, it is equipped to tackle complex disturbances of cardiac rhythm, including Radiofrequency Ablation and implantation of Pacemakers and Implantable Cardiover ter Defibrillators. The Centre for Interventional Cardiology and Surgery has started bypass surgeries with a number of patients lined up for surgeries. The cost of these procedures is
very reasonable, not more than 20% more than that in India. The hospital is receiving hear t patients not only from the UAE and other GCC states but also from several African countries
like Nigeria, Kenya, Ethiopia, Zanzibar and Tanzania, a proof of the hospital’s professional exper tise and quality care. RAK Hospital, with international
