The Annual Jacksonville Jazz Festival This is the second-largest jazz festival in the U.S. The festival began in 1980. Over the years, performers such as Miles Davis, Tony Bennett, and Natalie Cole have highlighted the event.


Jacksonville Film Festival and Citrus Cel Animation Festival These independent film festivals are held every year, contributing to the enrichment of the arts and culture scene in North Florida.

From March to December, locals gather every Saturday for handmade goods, fresh produce, entertainment, and more!

Art Walk


Dozens of local artists and musicians show off their work every first Wednesday downtown.


Concerts and Shows The Florida Theater, Veterans Memorial Arena, and the Times-Union Center of Performing Art are just a few venues that tout various concerts and shows such as popular Broadway shows, concerts by world renowned artists, and the The Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra.


St. Johns Town Center, Tinsel Town, and the Outlet Malls The Town Center, located less than a mile from campus, brings you tons of shopping and dining options. If you’re bargain hunting, try the St. Augustine Prime Outlets just 20 minutes south.


Jacksonville Landing


The Landing hosts more than 300 events each year with great dining, clubs, and shopping all in one spot. Its location on the St. Johns riverfront is one of the best views in town.


Beaches


Sunbathing and surfing are just 10 minutes away from the rigors of academic life. The Jacksonville pier and boardwalk are particularly popular spots for UNF students.


Jacksonville Zoo 120 acres of 1,500 rare and exotic animals.


MOCA JACKSONVILLE The Museum of Contemporary Art is a cultural resource of UNF. Our students not only have the opportunity to take classes in the downtown facility, their works are displayed along side the exhibits of celebrated contemporary artists.


Riverside, Avondale, and San Marco These historic neighborhoods are the cultural centers of the city. Locally owned shops and restaurants add to the charm of the areas.
