UNF READS!

This program was created to provide a common intellectual experience for the entire campus. Before arriving for your first term, all incoming freshmen – along with many faculty and staff members and upper division students – will read a book selected by the UNF Undergraduate Studies Council. The book that’s chosen will focus on ideas that span the general education curriculum. Throughout the Fall and Spring semesters the campus will engage in multiple activities and events creating a community-wide discussion of the book.

VENTURE STUDIES This program offers first-year students a specific series of classes from a variety of disciplines that are designed to help students successfully navigate the transition to college life. You’ll learn how to understand the various stages of critical thinking, articulate the purpose and benefits of community-based learning, and earn general education credits while doing so.
