Film extras T

he Pinewood Studios Group is synonymous worldwide for its contribution to the film and television industries. With a full

programme of productions, it was necessary to rent additional space. The Group chose Spaciotempo UK Ltd to supply it with 13 temporary buildings.

The buildings, supplied from stock, range in size from 300m2

to 1,175m2

and are being used for a variety of applications, including prop and

costume storage, special effects preparation and even a garage facility to house specialist vehicles which are being used on the set of Ridley Scott’s Prometheus, the prequel to Alien. A specialist flooring system was installed within this building to withstand the weight of the vehicles. Scott Jameson, director of sales for Spaciotempo UK Ltd, is delighted to be working alongside such a prolific client whose studios have been used for so many well known productions, including: Snow White and the

Huntsman; Dark Shadow; Pirates of the Caribbean; Prometheus; Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows; Dancing on Ice; and Got to Dance.

“The Pinewood Group is a long standing customer of ours," says Scott Jameson, "and we are very proud to have been awarded such a prestigious contract. The simplicity of the design ensures that these temporary buildings can be installed and dismantled very quickly with the minimum of disruption to our client." ● www.spaciotempo.co.uk
