Celebrating 25 years of investing in the Asia- Pacifi c region
Aberdeen Asset Management Inc. celebrated 25 years of investing in the Asia-Pacific region by ringing the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange on June 7, 2011. Aberdeen’s U.S. fund directors, executives and guests visited the exchange to honor two of Aberdeen’s flagship U.S. closed-end funds, the Aberdeen Asia-Pacific Income Fund, Inc. (NYSE: FAX) and the Aberdeen Australia Equity Fund, Inc. (NYSE: IAF). The funds represent what we believe are two of the strongest region- or country-
specific funds available to U.S. investors with a long-term track record, a history of prudent leadership and a disciplined portfolio management. The funds are as important to investors
today as they were at the time of their launch. They remain true to their mandate: to provide investors with the opportunity to
receive both income and growth by investing in the Asia-Pacific region, an area that Aberdeen believes is one of the world’s most dynamic and growing economic regions. Visit our website to watch a short
film of the celebration and to learn more about investing in the Asia-Pacific region:

Strong team work characterizes the Aberdeen Dad Vail Regatta
The second annual Aberdeen Dad Vail Regatta took place in May 2011 on Philadelphia’s Schuylkill River. The Regatta is the largest collegiate regatta in the United States with over 3,500 athletes from more than 100 rowing teams and spectators from across the country, making the atmosphere electric. Aberdeen also sponsored the Philadelphia Challenge Gold Cup, a historic single sculling championship. The race took place during the Dad Vail Regatta and featured four of the top men and women single scullers in the world along with other world-class Olympic rowers. Aberdeen’s approach to asset
management embodies many of the values we see in the sport of rowing: we champion strong team work, a shared collegiate approach to problem-solving and a broad world view.
