Highlights? The actress’ yellow silk chiffon dress worn to her first wedding with Richard Burton and her 33.19-carat diamond ring, to name a few.

NEW YORK The Buzz: MF Husain, 100% Sold The Bottom Line: In September 2011, a collection of 13 works by MF Husain was 100% sold at Christie’s South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art sale. Achieving eight of the top 10 hammer prices, the successful results were a testament to the enduring appeal of the great master who passed away earlier this year.


NEW YORK The Buzz: Haiti, Charity Auction, Ben Stiller The Bottom Line: Artists for Haiti, a charitable organization co-founded by Ben Stiller and David Zwirner, teamed up with Christie’s in September 2011 to host a charity auction. The sale raised over $13 million, with proceeds going to NGOs helping with earthquake relief in the island nation.
