News Epson captures stunning quality
Epson has teamed up once again with Bayeux, one of London’s leading photographic and imaging companies, to sponsor and support the
prestigious ‘Take a view’ Landscape Photographer of the Year 2011 Competition. The overall
winner was Robert Fulton with Winter Field, Stirlingshire, Scotland. Bayeux
produced limited edition Digigraphie prints for the
exhibition on Traditional Photo Paper, one of Epson’s range of art media, with the Epson Stylus Pro 9900 large format printer. Using the latest Epson inkjet technology, the Stylus Pro 9900 is the ideal choice to reproduce the winning images in their full glory. The true colours of the photographs are realised using Epson UltraChrome HDR ink, which adds orange and green ink to Epson’s UltraChrome K3 with Vivid Magenta to deliver the widest gamut available. An outstanding level of detail is achieved with the Stylus Pro 9900’s 10-channel Epson MicroPiezo TFP print head and variable-sized droplet technology. “We are pleased to be involved with the awards again,” said Robin Bernard, Director,
Bayeux and one of the final panel judges. “With the Stylus Pro 9900 we know that we can reproduce the images consistently and as true to the originals as possible.”
Nick White, Sales Manager, Pro Graphics for Epson UK and also a competition judge said: “The entries were all fabulous and the winners captured a superb combination of colours, textures and light effects.”
A free exhibition at London’s National Theatre until 28 January will showcase all the winners, together with other selected finalists.
