Spring Planted Bulbs IRIS, continued
I. Pacific-Siberian Cascade Velvet #SIR55 The Pacific-Siberians are crosses between Chinese siberians (which are moisture tolerant) and the Pacific Coast native iris (which are drought tolerant) resulting in plants that can be grown under most garden conditions or in a dry summer Mediterranean climate. This hybrid features velvety lavender-purple flowers with slightly darker veins and a small yellow eye spot. It quickly forms nice clumps of green, slightly arching foliage. Given an Award of Honor in 2000 and the Randolph Perry Award for best species hybrid in 2003 by the Ameri- can Iris Society. 3 inch pots.
