Bringing You Bulbs for the Summer Garden
Dear Gardening Friends:
A new year is upon us once again and with it comes renewed hope for a better economy and a world more at peace. Perhaps Kenneth McClure termed it best when he said, “Despite the zany weather and our worries about the fragile situation of the globe, our gardens remain - quite honestly - the best places in the world to be.” It is our goal to help you add ambiance and character to your garden to truly make it ‘the best place in the world to be’.
Here in Wisconsin, the cold of winter has set in, which for us, usually
leads to thoughts of warm sunshine and tropical locations. However, if you just can’t get away, why not bring the look and feel of the tropics to your own home or garden? We find that Alocasia, Colocasia and Thai Caladiums are superb for creating an exotic, tropical feel. We’ve added several new and exciting varieties of each and many of them make nice houseplants, too. We’ve also added many other
new selections, designated with this symbol (❧) for you to scatter throughout the landscape to add strategic color around shrubs and trees, intermingle happily among annuals and perennials, or exhibit their exuberant blooms to perfection in pots, urns and barrels. And though many of our plants and bulbs look like they come from far off locations, many are grown right here ‘at home’ in the United States.
At McClure and Zimmerman, we are proud to offer a large selection of
quality bulbs, corms, tubers and other rootstocks at prices that encourage creative gardening. Not only is our stock large, healthy and true-to-name, but everything is guaranteed to perform to your satisfaction – or we’ll do everything possible to set things right. To our long-time customers, we thank you for your continued support and the confidence you place in us and our products.
May your gardens grow and flourish, Your Friends at McClure & Zimmerman
