The new RecordЯ from ROBERTS is a DAB/FM RDS digital radio recorder that features a one touch record function enabling users to manually record from live FM and DAB radio direct to SD card. Consumers simply need to insert an SD or SDHC card into the radio, press and hold the PausePlus button and the station they are listening to can record up 24 hours or pause 60 minutes of live airtime enabling them to listen back at a later date. The RecordЯ also offers the PausePlus feature that allows users to enjoy uninterrupted radio listening. By pressing the PausePlus button they can put their favourite station on hold for up to 60 minutes while they answer the phone or doorbell. When ready, they simply press the PausePlus button again to resume listening to the programme where they left off. They can also rewind live radio for up to 60 minutes. The RecordЯ also allows users to set the radio in advance to record up to four different programmes.

The Origami hob accessories from Whirlpool have been designed to enhance and extend the cooking experience. The range includes a grill plate, cooking stone, panini toaster, and a chopping board. Whirlpool’s grill plate (pictured) fits onto the hob with its own support. The non-stick, cast iron ribbed plate provides high quality grilling and barbecue-style results. The cooking stone provides a novel way to create dishes with meat, fish and vegetables. With two large, non-conductive handles, the cooking stone can easily be moved to serve food directly at the table and keep the dish warm. Whirlpool’s panini toaster sits directly on the hob and has heat-proof, non-conductive handles with which it can be quickly and easily turned over to ensure that both sides of the toasted sandwiches are cooked evenly.

The new Saratoga LED fire from Dimplex is a low energy version of the Optiflame flame effect. The Saratoga’s ‘flames’ have an energy consumption of just 9W per hour, around the same as a low energy light bulb. The rectangular design has a black finish and offers the ultimate in simple installation. For wall mounting only, the Saratoga does not need to be inset into the wall, and with a total depth of just 120mm, it takes up very little room. The LED flame effect can be operated independently of the heat, and is ideal for creating an instant focal point even on mild days. The Saratoga’s remote control gives armchair control over both ‘flames’ and heat.
