BIG WHITE MOP ROBERT SCOTT & SONS LTD.

This year, Robert Scott & Sons Ltd. have continued to provide one of the most successful solutions to the problems of cross contamination in hospitals and catering establishments across the country with their Big White Mop (BWM). The mop, available in three sizes, is increasingly being seen as an alternative to Microfibre and traditional cotton mopping systems.

Speaking directly from the company, Alastair Scott said: “With the volatility in cotton prices seemingly not going to come to an end in the foreseeable future, the Big White Mop Range offers a real alternative to the problems associated with cross contamination and is a cost effective, non-woven and highly efficient system which, in these days of cuts and savings being introduced, is increasingly being seen as one of the most viable mopping options available.”

To continue their success, the company have also announced the introduction of a removable socket earlier this year, which enables the mop head to be changed simply and quickly, further prolonging the life

of the system as well as helping reduce waste in landfill sites where plastic often gets dumped. The socket incorporates a simple clip mechanism which is strong enough to withstand the rigours of daily use and the mop heads can be taken off quickly and either washed or disposed of within seconds. Available in three sizes, the new sockets have also cut down on the amount of plastic used in their manufacture, meaning that not only is the product now more adaptable and can be used in a wide variety of areas, but it is lighter and more environmentally friendly. The colour coded removable sockets and Big White Mop heads are also now conveniently available in boxes of 50.

high level of style and versatility for a wide range of environments.
