VINYL, RUBBER & LINO
HIGH IQ
Tarkett, a global leader in sustainable flooring solutions, has reinvigorated its iQ Optima range of homogeneous vinyl flooring with fresh new colours and formats, and enhanced performance characteristics.
It’s official; Tarkett’s best selling homogeneous vinyl flooring is now even better. Already one of Tarkett’s most popular ranges, iQ Optima is now a genuine multi-solution offer, with the addition of Optima Multisafe for wetrooms and iQ Optima Acoustic for heavy traffic areas where noise is an issue.
iQ Optima meets all the requirements of commercial flooring, providing a single solution or a complete, coordinated design that flows seamlessly between rooms and functions. It also features unique self- regenerating properties that mean simple dry buffing fully restores the flooring’s appearance, providing lifelong quality and performance. Together with the reduced use of water and minimal use of cleaning agents, iQ Optima offers the best life cycle costs on the
36
market, and enormous savings can be made by installing an iQ Optima flooring rather than one that has simply been PUR treated. Advanced PUR treatments, such as the ones used by Tarkett, reduce the amount of water, detergents and energy needed for cleaning and maintenance by as much as 50%, and many products need ‘No Wax or Polish for Life’.
Sustainability is an everyday practice, and with indoor air quality an increasingly important consideration, it’s reassuring to know that iQ Optima has VOC emissions below quantifiable levels, creating healthier, people friendly interiors. It is also phthalate free and has an excellent environmental profile being made with up to 54% natural materials and 25% recycled content. Tarkett re-use is the industry’s largest flooring recycling
programme, meaning that iQ Optima is 100% recyclable at end of life. And, thanks to its reduced cleaning requirements, it helps to conserve water and energy and limits the use of detergents and Tarkett collects post-installation and post-production waste for recycling into new flooring through its own dedicated recycling facilities.
With 64 colours to choose from, iQ Optima has a solution for every mood and style, offering timeless classics alongside unique new designs including wood and combination colours. All colours are available in a classic smooth embossed sheet and tile, and for the new Essence collection additional options of grained effect embossed sheet and tile together with a smooth or embossed plank format are available. The planks also have bevelled edges to help
create the look and feel of real wood.
Every colour in the iQ Optima range is also coordinated with a multi-colour welding rod. With contrasting colour chips that coordinate with the floorings accent colour and design, they provide the perfect finishing touch and a great seamless look.
Tarkett pride themselves on their use of natural and renewable raw materials where possible; manufacturing with fewer resources, such as water and energy; producing safer, healthier products; and re- using and recycling whatever they can.
