Additionally, some of the scenery is being constructed in a way that a person can walk on it. When the scenery down the hill through Wood- ford and Rowen is done it will complete that side of the mezzanine. The other side (Marcel, the tunnels and Cable) should progress much faster simply be- cause the square footage is so much less. Nevertheless, in most cases the scenery takes much more time than the other construction phases of the layout. It will be many years before the layout appears to be complete. In the 2001 article, it was mentioned that the club was evaluating DCC sys- tems. North Coast Engineering equip- ment was chosen to provide train con- trol, and the track put into operation over the last few years has been wired for DCC only.
