400 NORTH BOARD OF REALTORS
On Thursday, October 13, the 400 North Board held its annual auction at the beautiful Achasta Golf & Country Club. A lively crowd turned out to bid on silent and live auction items, despite the cold and dreary weather. Bidding wars took place on vacation packages to Costa Rica, Tuscany and South Africa. But in the end, it was the children supported by the Board’s wonderful charities that came away winners. Over $17,000 was raised — the largest amount in Board history — which will benefit Angels Over Forsyth, Dawson County Kare for Kids, and Lumpkin County Family Connection. The Auction brought together over 160 REALTORS and corporate industry leaders under Starry Nights, celebrating with great food, live entertainment, cash prize raffle, vendor sponsors, and the two auctions.
To all those who participated in the Auction, the Board thanks you. The board would also like to extend its gratitude to event Chair Tara Locke for her outstanding leadership and to the dedication and efforts of the entire committee. And finally, the Board is grateful to the sponsors and donors who made the event possible.
ATLANTA COMMERCIAL BOARD OF REALTORS
The Atlanta Commercial Board of REALTORS hosted it’s 6th Annual fall networking event, October BrokerFest, on Thursday, October 20, at STATS Downtown. It was a cool evening to be seen among the decorative fire pits on the rooftop and the retro setting of the interior. Board members, industry leaders and sponsors mingled among the nearly 400 people in attendance while enjoying the great food and live entertainment. Guests contributed to the fund-raising by participating in prize raffles, the proceeds of which go toward support of The Dana Smith Cancer Assistance Fund and the Atlanta Board Educational Foundation. As if the evening wasn’t lively enough, two fortunate individuals each won $250 for simply attending.
BrokerFest 201 1 wouldn’t have been such a great success without the support and commitment of each of our Committee volunteers and sponsors. We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to the BrokerFest Chairman, Keene Miller, and Co-Chairman, Jason Whitworth, for their outstanding leadership. A special thanks to our Platinum Sponsor, Colony Realty Partners, for their dedication to this year’s event. Another great Board event thanks to everyone involved!
