fine jewellery transcends every age of a woman’s life...

ADDING EXTRA MEANING TO CLASSY CORPORATE DRESSING

Nothing accents the woman of substance the way a perfect piece of jewellery can. We look at three charismatic ladies, each successful in her world and all sharing the absolute conviction that wearing jewellery does not just lift them to a higher level of grooming but that wearing meaningful and auspicious jewellery just adds so much more ! Why not add the lucky touch they reckon… we introduce you to Ong Li Dong, corporate career lady, to Datin Annie, charitable fund raiser and to Elsie Chua, successful property developer par excellence!

ONG LI DONG

Luxury Jeweler Terrifyingly effi cient, awfully down-to-earth, and wonderfully

capable, Ong Li Dong is the General Manager of OE Jewellery, a 100-year old German company which designs, manufactures and markets its fi ne jewellery to Europe and the rest of the world with a factory-base in this part of the world in Penang. In an industry dominated mostly by men, Li Dong holds a dream job. As GM in charge of export and the Asia Pacifi c market, she is the only Malaysia woman to hold such a post in a major European jewellery manufacturing fi rm. Twelve years ago, she struck a deal with Lillian Too to create a line of auspicious jewellery after being mesmerized by the idea at a Lillian Too seminar on feng shui. Says Li Dong, “crafting fi ne jewellery inspired by classic chinese symbols, each representing wonderful meanings of good fortune, health and happiness...wow, a great story waiting to be told...I thought! What I saw was a perfect collaboration when I suggested that OE and Lillian Too should work hand-in-hand to create meaningful symbols using precious gems and gold, to cater to a diff erent market. Over the years, the alliance has grown and expanded, and today our clients have become convinced that there is indeed added potency to their good fortune each time they wear their feng shui jewellery.”
