Notes from a feng shui consultation with Peter Lung

LAS VEGAS! T

he Venetian and Palazzo Casino & Hotels in Las Vegas displayed a 128 foot long handcrafted Dragon breathing fire during the Chinese New Year. Tis Dragon was about 65 foot high and 8000 pounds. Te length and weight of this Dragon was decided for its auspicious numbers.

Commissioned by the Venetian and Palazzo Hotel, the 8000 pound Dragon is designed to bring Heaven, Earth and Mankind luck when you circle it three times.

2012 is the Year of Yang Water Dragon, so we

recommend for all visitors to walk around the Dragon three times for blessing, the first round you will receive blessings from Heaven, the second from earth energy and the third round will bring mankind luck. Te Dragon and Rooster are secret friends, so together they bring harmony. Tis also means the Rooster person will have strong wealth luck with lots of lucky stars around their planet this year. Te West sector is also very lucky in 2012, and so we placed a 3ft tall Rooster at the West sector of the Atrium Garden where the Dragon is displayed. Te Rooster stands facing the Dragon. If you remember the past article from Feng Shui World magazine, Lillian Too recommended for us to place a Rooster facing the Dragon for better good fortune luck. Tis Dragon has a big belly so it can carry lots of auspicious luck to everyone. Te 5 claws of the Dragon represents power. In ancient China, only the Emperor is allowed to use the 5 clawed Dragon on his clothes and all his belongings. We also inserted powerful mantras inside the head and tail of this Dragon, to make sure that the Dragon is protected during the exhibition. Te colour of this Dragon is red and royal yellow, as we need Fire energy this year and royal yellow represents the colour of the Emperor.

THE YEAR OF THE DRAGON COMES ALIVE IN

Together with the hotel, we designed and planned to build this Dragon since May 2011 and the design of the Dragon was based on Feng Shui set up with Chinese culture. I would like to share with you how we can set up the Dragon to bring good luck for everyone visiting the Dragon.
