BOGOTA, COLOMBIA Colombia is famous for its coff ee and its emeralds, but it is probably even more famous for its entertainers! Shakira who shot to international fame in 2001 with her suggestive belly- dancing music video “Whenever, Wherever” is from Colombia! Bogota is its capital, also known as the “Athens of South America” with a harmonious blend of old and new buildings steeped in culture and heritage. But did you know that Colombia is also fi lled with birds? Almost 15% of the world’s species of birds are found in Colombia.

CARACAS, VENEZUELA! Caracas is the political and fi nancial capital of Venezuela. T ere is a cable car ride which offers incredible views of the city! T e Angel Falls, the highest waterfalls in the world, can be found deep in Venezuela’s Canaima National Park. T ere are even sand dunes that look like they belong in the desert, and they can be found in tropical Venezuela just North of Coro, created by the trade winds coming from the West; a great opportunity for photography enthusiasts!

Its name Chile, mistaken by some to be derived from its long and very narrow shape, is derived from a Native American word for “the deepest point of the Earth”. Chile’s capital Santiago has a breathtaking skyline, with the great Andes mountains forming an unbelievable backdrop. No wonder this country is doing so well! You don’t get much better macro landscape feng shui than that.

MEXICO CITY, MEXICO Mexico goes way back to the Aztecs and the Mayans, and is rich with history and culture. It has also produced one of the world’s hottest leading ladies, Salma Hayek! The famous “Mexican wave” in soccer and other sporting events originated here! For those who like their food, Mexico of course also gave us the quesadilla, tortilla and nachos, and the hottest chillies in the world.
