es we have been following Awards season with great enthusiasm, simply because the Awards honour the big successes

in the performing arts. T ey honour the stars of television, the big screen, video and music - starting with the GLOBES, then the BAFTAS and then of course the OSCARS which seem to have become incredibly boring of late. In our last issue of FSW, we successfully picked out potential winners, those we thought would get nominated – George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Michelle Williams et al. We got them right but we have to say Hollywood has become too predictable, and dare we say it – too into itself. T e OSCARS are unimaginative; they seem to prefer boring to popular movies. T ey steadfastly ignore the box offi ce hits. Hollywood is very out of sync with what the real world wants because it seems like almost all Oscar movies and movie stars (many of whom are very highly paid) are not the box offi ce winners the way the Grammy winners are. T e Oscars are suff ering from poor feng shui energy and are in need of rejuvenation! Look at the big time movie hits.

Take AVATAR for instance - imagine this incredible breakthrough movie’s visionary director James Cameron losing to the war movie director whose fi lm none of you readers has been to see; we bet you cannot even remember the title of the movie! Imagine all of the Harry Potter movies which entertained a generation of kids being completely ignored by the OSCARS – not to mention megahits like Spiderman, the James Bond movies, Dark Knight and so forth all being ignored. The OSCARS are just so good at snubbing the big box offi ce stars whom everyone loves. It is as if the people behind the Oscars are jealous of talent, instead of applauding newly-minted talent. As a result, they have become increasingly more boring each year, and this year’s nominations are dull and unexciting, many of them fl ops at the box offi ce. MUSIC on the other hand - the industry everyone predicted

Music evokes amazingly deep emotions. It has the power to go into places of the heart and mind that few things can. It brings drama into lives, induces passion

would get hurt by the Internet Age - has simply grown bigger and more spectacular. If you watched the 54th GRAMMY’s live shown in early February, you would know why! It seems like the GRAMMY’s have always honoured their musical greats – heavyweights in almost every genre of music. From the performers, songwriters, backup guys and gals, instrumentalists and producers – they are all recognized, and those who pass on are also remembered. Year after year, the WINNERS are also the big stars whose music sells, who are madly popular and who are so talented that many go on to become legends. T is year’s Grammys was bigger and better than any they have put on – It seems the Producers behind this great show really have great talent working for them. And they truly seek out talent that resonates with the buyers of music. T is year’s BIG WINNER was

ADELE whom everyone adores, loves and is so in awe of. Adele in case you have never heard of her has the kind of voice that comes once in a century – and the songs she sings may be soul, but they are also pop because everyone can relate to them. Her songs are melodious even on their own and she has the kind of voice to make the melody come across. Adele was nominated for six of the

top awards and she won all six, so it was a clean sweep. Her musical peers gave her a standing ovation when she performed Rolling in the Deep. It was incredibly magical to watch especially if one has been following Adele’s story. Halfway through the year, Adele had

been forced to cancel her tour to get surgery done on her throat. She had very nearly lost that magical voice and all the drama of her comeback made her wins as poignant as the two big hits that won her Best album, Best pop vocal album, Best pop vocal, Best record, Best short form video and Best singer. Adele’s big hits, Someone Like You

and Rolling in the Deep, indeed her entire album 21 which has been selling and selling and been number 1 for weeks – resonates with everyone. Adele herself describes them as being based on the kind of “rubbish relationship” that everyone’s been through… if you have never heard them, go watch them on You Tube. We promise you will love these songs and they will rekindle within you a love of music. If you ever stopped listening that is! And then you will discover the awesome power of music to vastly enhance the energies of your home and even your offi ce! Music evokes amazingly deep

emotions. It has the power to go into places of the heart and mind that few things can. It brings drama into lives, induces passion and feelings, and for every sentiment you feel, you can surely fi nd a song or a tune to resonate with. Children study better with music, people work better with music and everyone is just happier when there is music in their lives. Sing and the world sings along with you! In case you want new singers to discover new songs to download, we are happy to introduce you to these very big superstars all of whom you can watch over YouTube. Even better, we suggest you support the Grammy’s and get a legit high defi nition copy of the 54th Grammy’s awards.
