Curtain up on ‘Sleeping Beauty’
OUR annual pantomime, Sleeping Beauty, has been reworked into a tale of supermarket rivalry, in which our heroine plunges into a hundred-year sleep in a supermarket freezer. The cast of approximately 100 students from across all year groups has been taking part in after-school rehearsals, while the crew has been preparing costumes and constructing the set.
Performances will take place on Tuesday 12th and Wednesday 13th December. We hope you can come along and join in the fun!

Going underground
STUDENTS in Year 7 have responded enthusiastically to our new CALL (Creative and Literacy Learning) curriculum. The students have completed the first unit, entitled ‘How to Change the World in Five Easy Steps’, and are now undertaking the second topic, ‘Underground’. In between reading books such as Fantastic
Mr Fox by Roald Dahl and Redwall by Brian Jacques, the students have undertaken a range of presentations and exciting learning activities. They have also taken part in a dynamic PSHEE (Personal, Social, Health and Emotional Education) Day, and some exciting visits are planned for the future.
