A daughter of a cycle dealer, Val Hollingsworth started her career in the cycle industry at an early age, working in the family business during school and college holidays from the age of ten. This eventually led to Hollingsworth being approached by Raleigh to join telesales team. Since then, Hollingsworth has represented a number of cycle wholesale companies in Ireland in a sales capacity.


concentrate on her family, Hollingsworth is back: “I am a qualified science and maths teacher and even with about 20 weeks holidays for teachers in Ireland I still prefer to sell bike bits – not science!” Mike Brunsden is the second new addition to the sales team. Brunsden will be joining the parts and accessories team and will be based in the Central England region. He has a strong technical background, having worked at both Giant and TF Tuned Shox, and is a skilled mechanic. Brunsden has worked with some of the cycle industry’s top athletes, as well as helping to develop bikes for a broad spectrum of non- pro athletes. Brunsden is also a racing cyclist within the road, mountain and cyclocross disciplines ‘but with some motorcycle racing thrown in for good measure’. A spokesperson for Madison added: “We are


proud to welcome both Val and Mike to Madison and wish them every success in their new roles.”


 NEILPRYDE BIKES JIM PFEIL has joined Pryde Group Americas as bicycle brand manager for the Americas. Pfeil founded Reynolds Composites in 1998


and more recently worked with ENVE Composites. He has over 15 years experience in the bike industry in various management and sales roles, and will be works with the existing rep structure as well as developing new rep opportunities throughout North America.


MICHAEL PRYDE, division manager of NeilPryde Bicycles said: "Jim has the necessary industry knowledge to help develop a statewide dealer network over the next five years in order to establish the brand as a key player in the USA and Canada, and in the fast growing economies of South America where Pryde Group Americas has already been operating since 1982. Jim’s knowledge of composites played a big part in the group’s decision to recruit him, and his input in future product development will add extra expertise to NeilPryde’s in-house R&D team.“
