PREVIEW | ZYRO SHOW DAY 2012

The Best in Show

With at least two new brands and a completely new show offering, distributor Zyro is going to have an even busier January than usual. Jonathon Harker previews the inaugural Show Day…

IF YOU missed the announcement (where were you?) Yorkshire-based distributor Zyro has launched a brand new Show Day, set to take place in January 2012. Building on the success of its annual Open House event, Show Day will give dealers the chance to get up close and personal with the latest P&A innovations from Altura, Abus, CatEye, PowerBar and many more brands from the distributor. There will also be the opportunity to meet suppliers face-to-face, where they can be quizzed on the brand new 2012 product, as well as hear about future ideas, innovations and developments. Zyro’s entire account holder base is invited to attend Show Day, which will take place on Wednesday January 18th 2012 in the plush surroundings of Rudding Park’s five-star hotel and venue in Harrogate, Yorkshire.

BRANDS, SPANKING NEW In addition to new products from Zyro’s brands, there will be a few surprises in store for attendees – not least the arrival of new brands. BikeBiz can exclusively reveal two of those here and now – XeNTiS and SQ Labs.

BIKEBIZ.COM Austrian high-end wheel manufacturer

Two new brand

signings – SQ Lab and XeNTiS –will debut at Zyro’s debut Show Day.

XeNTiS manufactures specialist carbon wheels, recognised globally for their patented braking surface offering among the best braking performances in wet and dry conditions. There’s no wear-out on brake surfaces and there’s an option to use standard brake pads. XeNTiS wheels are coated and UV resistant, and 100 per cent manufactured in Austria. Handily, most of the wheels feature an integrated tachometer magnet for cycle computers too. At Zyro’s Show Day dealers will have chance to see the XeNTiS wheels in the flesh. All wheels on offer will be available to order from January 2012. Most in the trade will already be familiar with SQ Labs and its renowned custom fit saddles. No two riders are exactly the same, and they’re all beautiful in their own different way, so it’s important that cyclists ride with a saddle that suits their body. At the Show Day retailers will get demonstrations on how to use specific measuring equipment to establish which saddle is correct for customers, taking into account seat bone measurements and the

type of cycling done. Products and in-store point of sale materials will be available to order from January 2012.

GRAB YOUR SWAG BAG And as if these two new brands and more brands still to be announced, plus untold numbers of new products, wasn’t enough, alongside the chance to speak with experts on the brands on show, there are even more incentives for dealers to attend. By pre-registering at www.zyrob2b.co.uk/

zyroshow.aspx, guests will be entered in to a draw to win £1,000 worth of product of their choice. Each guest will also receive a free bag of swag on the day worth £150, including an Altura Tee, CamelBak Bottle, Ashima Cables, a Genuine Innovations Air Chuck and lots more branded merchandise. Guests will also be entered into the show draw to win a luxury weekend at Rudding Park later in the year.
