The names US Speedskating, U.S. Speedskating and USA Speedskating, all US Speedskating trademarks, service marks and tradenames, as US Speedskating may adopt and use from time to time, and any other designs, emblems, slogans and insignias of US Speedskating and the images and sounds used or associated with US Speedskating (collectively the “Proprietary Materials”) have great value and goodwill and are the sole property of US Speedskating (or an affiliated company). Each of the Propriety Materials is subject to federal and state statutory and common law trademark and copyright protection. Use of any such Proprietary Materials (or any colorable imitation, variation or adaptation thereof), without prior written approval of US Speedskating, is strictly prohibited. Any permitted uses of Proprietary Materials must be in accordance with US Speedskating corporate guidelines and graphic standards governing such use, as may be amended from time to time, and shall, where applicable, include the appropriate trademark designation. All questions regarding usage should be directed to US Speedskating. Commercial use of any of the Proprietary Materials is strictly prohibited, unless pursuant to an executed US Speedskating Royalty Agreement. All uses of the Proprietary Materials shall ensue to the benefit of US Speedskating.

Photography Only accredited photographers on assignment for recognized news media will be permitted to photograph US Speedskating events in the media area. Commercial photography is prohibited except for US Speedskating and sponsors, and then, only with advance written permission. Freelance photographers shooting without specific assignment must request accreditation. Accredited photographers who re-sell news material will have their accreditation immediately revoked.
Film or Video Access Any broadcast, rebroadcast, or use of any accounts, pictures or description of USS events without the expressed written permission of USS and its designated broadcast partners is prohibited. All races are copyrighted and are subject to available remedies of the U.S. and International law. Rights may be granted to national and international broadcast, cable, and satellite services and additional restrictions imposed by those services may also apply.
USS events include any and all images from a USS venue, athletes and staff, including but not limited to all race, practice, and qualifying activities which may take place within the venue, trackside etc. Questions regarding use of video material or access to USS events to obtain video material should be made in writing to the Communications Director, US Speedskating, 5662 S. Broadcast/News Programs No video material obtained at a USS event may be used for broadcast or cablecast during the actual race. Absolutely no video material obtained from a USS event may air on any news or sports program until the conclusion of any delayed network broadcast or cablecast of a USS event.
Use of video material obtained from any USS event shall be limited to two minutes and must be used within 48 hours of the event. Video material obtained from a USS event should provide the appropriate video credit “courtesy XYZ” (which ever network is carrying the footage).
Acceptance of the credential acknowledges understanding and acceptance of the USS Television Broadcast, Film and Video Policy, and is a specific condition of admittance to any USS event. General Policy
US Speedskating, in cooperation with the US Olympic Committee, is the only authorized library for USS material. No entity shall maintain or service a film or videotape library of USS footage, except as specifically authorized by US Speedskating.
No individual or entity shall intercept and/or record any video feed or satellite transmission used in the distribution of the coverage of any USS event to its authorized broadcast and cable networks or other authorized users except by expressed written consent.
No entity may film or videotape a USS event without the express written permission of US Speedskating. Every approved broadcaster’s camera operator at a USS event must display the access sticker/arm band/vest issued by event organizers. Video or film camera operators who do not display the proper access credential will be escorted out of the venue. Violators may be denied access to future USS events and legal action may ensue.
US Speedskating does not provide access to photo towers, rooftops or parking. Please contact the venue operations or media relations department for access to such locations. Use of video material obtained from any USS event shall be limited to such use as outlined above, or as specified in an applicable Licensing Agreement obtained from US Speedskating. Camera operators or production crew agree to avoid interference, in any way, with the production of any live or taped television broadcaster. Any instructions provided by USS officials must be observed.
