Media requests and information regarding US Speedskating and its athletes should be directed to the media and public relations department. During competition, athletes are available for interviews at the mixed media zone and /or scheduled press conferences.

Results, notes, records, photos, biographical and historical information, membership information and more can be found on the US Speedskating website. Information is updated throughout the season. Usspeedskating.org keeps fans up-to-date with the latest news and information about US Speedskating athletes, events and statistics. This site also features audio and video broadcasts of events, as well as timing & scoring data from US Speedskating events.


For the media: the website is designed to provide press releases distributed by US Speedskating, as well as releases from sponsors, individual athletes and other pertinent parties. The site also features information on how to contact public relations representatives for the sanctioning bodies, sponsors, local organizing committees as well as downloadable photos and audio.

SOCIAL MEDIA


US Speedskating has launched several social media platforms to further engage members and fans and build upon the increased pubic awareness generated from the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Winter Games. US Speedskating has been using social media to share stories, publicize events, and promote the sport and our athletes. US Speedskating members and fans can keep up with the organization year-round as updates on athletes and programs are posted almost daily. Visitors can also get an off-the-ice view of the athletes through a series of fun video interviews on the USS YouTube channel. This season, Facebook, Twitter and Up-to-Speed will also be your source for breaking news on competition results and highlights, plus an inside look at the real personalities of the athletes as they train, compete, and just have fun.

MEDIA SERVICES Credentials All media credential requests for individual races should be directed to the public relations representatives at each respective venue. For further details, refer to the USS website competition schedule.


Photo Services Please direct any photos needs to the US Speedskating media staff. In order to facilitate rinkside and athlete photographer access, photographers should confirm individual rink policies in advance of each event.


Event Media Services US Speedskating will provide extensive on-site assistance to the working media. Following qualifying and selected practice sessions at domestic events, top qualifiers and newsmakers of the day will be available in a designated interview area. Inquire at the media center for details. All special arrangements or needs should be directed to each respective venue press officer.
