■ This study aimed to examine the patient experience of treatment with a hyaluronc acid-based filler

■ Patients were able to choose from a list of areas to receive treatment using the Princess Filler

■ The Princess Filler demonstrated a high degree of efficacy, longevity and safety

■ Pre- and post-marketing studies are essential for any new product ranges wishing to enter the aesthetic market

tenderness, pain, bruising and itching — reactions

which were typically transient. as with other hyaluronic acid-based fillers, such reactions are common in the immediate post-injection period. Despite the relatively long follow-up period, however, no delayed reactions, such as inflammatory nodules or true granulomas, were reported. Despite the fact that the high drop in the number of

patients during the follow-up period could present a limitation to this study, the author and members of the Princess Filler investigation Group feel that this does not affect the study’s conclusions. This non-interventional

study depicts the scenario of the daily practice in which happy patients are reluctant to come back for follow-up visits, while those under-treated return for touch-up treatments.

Conclusions This study shows the high efficacy, longevity and safety profile of the Princess Filler. The modern cosmetic market place is often ‘flooded’ with a plethora of hyaluronic acid-based fillers. Some are of a high efficacy and safety, while others drop out of the market place after being shown to be of insufficient quality. Both pre- and post-marketing studies are needed to support the products being released to the market. The current multi-centre non-interventional study shows the high efficacy, longevity and safety profile of the Princess Filler.
