EUROPCAR has launched an innovative new service that tackles the issues that company fleets face when waiting for new vehicle delivery. The 6 Advantage service offers vehicle hire for a fixed period of six months, but with all the benefits of short-term car hire. Ken McCall, managing director
of Europcar Group UK, says: "Short-term vehicle hire is not cost- effective for what can often be as much as six months waiting for new vehicle delivery. And leasing requires a longer-term commitment that is equally unsuitable. Our 6 Advantage offer fills that gap." Customers taking advantage of
the 6 Advantage option can choose from a range of vehicles in the colour of their choice, including estates, compacts, hatchbacks and vans. Businesses can order as many 6 Advantage vehicles as they require, whether while waiting for new deliveries or for

use by employees on secondment. All 6 Advantage vehicles are brand new so there's no servicing or MOT requirements and all come with 24-hour roadside breakdown assistance and recovery. Vehicle delivery and collection, plus a 12,000 mile limit complete the new car hire option. Customers are billed monthly.
McCall adds: "We understand
that our corporate customers need access to a range of car hire solutions designed to offer them flexibility and reduce fleet costs. We have designed 6 Advantage to provide competitive fixed rates on six-month contracts, offering the benefits of short-term hire at cost- effective rates."
AVIS has doubled the number of its UK car hire outlets in just nine months and now has a line-up of over 220 locations. The growth has been spurred by new partnerships with a number of independent hotels and Holiday Inns, which have added 20 and 40 new branches respectively to the Avis network. The group aims to have a branch "within a few miles of every household in the UK" and is committed to opening a further 150 locations in the next few months. Among new Avis Holiday
